A couple years ago, the official @SeinfeldTV social media account took note of my obsession with the show and commissioned an original piece from me. I came up with this comic, as it’s my favorite joke from the show and it’s left entirely to the viewer’s imagination, so it’s not a strict rehashing of an existing scene.
The concept was approved but, after I finished the art, corporate realized they didn’t actually have the rights to portray the actors(?), only concepts from the Seinfeld Universe. They were very apologetic, paid me the agreed budget, gave me their blessing to do with this art whatever I please, and then paid me over again to do a more generic piece.
I can’t even find the generic piece in my files, it was about pretzels, otherwise I’d attach it here. Who cares?? This is the good stuff.

I’ll leave you with this — I actually met the man himself, Jerome Allen Seinfeld, the other night in New York. We were at the same party and he was standing next to Chris Rock. I was introduced by a mutual friend, so I played it cool and didn’t ask for a photo. In fact, I did the thing I always do when meeting someone of whose work I am a fan — I acted like I’m only vaguely familiar with their stuff and I’m not sure why we’re being introduced. I then decided it would be funny to just have a picture of me with Seinfeld blurry in the background. See below.
